CHALLENGE: When Millennium was contacted by a social good-focused technology organization facing a highly challenging situation involving potentially existential financial, legal and organizational challenges. The organization was facing a difficult transition of multiple members of the executive team and was forced to make a series of tough decisions to secure the future of the organization, including a major restructuring, and strategic refocusing.

SOLUTION: The Millennium team jumped into action immediately, working with the organization's board members and leadership to understand the complexities of the situation clearly and develop a multi-phase plan to navigate through the crisis and enter a new forward-looking phase by:

  • Building trust through transparency, providing an honest accounting of events and the situation

  • Putting people first by providing a human touch for both staff who are leaving and those who remain

  • Taking accountability and helping employees understand how the organization reached this point

With these principles in mind, Millennium guided the company's internal and external communications throughout restructuring, legal proceedings, and rebranding, ultimately helping the company emerge as a stronger, more resilient organization.
